Did you all catch the May Developer Note for Goddess of Victory: Nikke? While various updates and events were teased, one particular comment stood out.

'In this event, we will feature a Pick-Up Recruitment for a character you haven't seen in quite a while, and one that many Commanders will be happy to see again.'

This is a teaser for a three-week major event coming in June. Since it’s a high-end event featuring dedicated Fields and full voice acting, there’s already a lot of buzz about which squad will take center stage. Which squad will it be? We’ve rounded up a few candidates that seem likely to appear.

#. Hammer & Drill: Hammering, Drilling

In a way, they are the duo players miss the most right now: Hammering and Drilling. These two Nikkes made a lasting impression during the Cinderella episode. They were sidelined for a while due to severe injuries, but with recent hints about their return, many users are eagerly awaiting them.

#. Matis: Laplace, Drake, Maxwell

Matis is the elite force of Missilis. They are the squad most frequently intertwined with the Counters in the main story. With their significant narrative weight and individual charm, they are a highly popular squad. Notably, Matis has already received power-ups through alternate versions, leaving only their official release. Many users find it strange that they haven't been released yet.

#. Mighty Tools: Liter, Centi

In a collectible RPG like Nikke, character power creep is inevitable. Liter of the Mighty Tools held the throne as the top Burst 1 character for a long time. She also gained immense popularity for her unique personality and cute design. While many other Nikkes have received alternate versions or Treasures to keep up with power creep, Liter has notably lacked such care.

Liter was so beloved that if she were the star of this event, I think everyone would welcome her back with open arms.

#. Unlimited: Alice, Ludmilla, Tove, Neve

Unlimited consists of Alice, Ludmilla, Tove, and Neve. They played a role alongside the Counters early in the main story, but haven't been featured much since. Tove has made appearances in summer events and is frequently used due to her performance, but the others have essentially been forgotten. Given how many users count Alice as their favorite, there are likely many fans waiting for the Unlimited squad.

#. Talentum: Rupee, Yan, Dolla

In some ways, Talentum feels similar to Unlimited. Rupee, a member of Talentum, once left a strong impression with her high performance and through 'MIRACLE SNOW,' which is still considered the best story event to date. However, she hasn't been featured much since, and she has become a Nikke you mostly only see in the Shop.

The June event is said to feature a dedicated 3D Field. If the event has a shopping district vibe, it would fit the Talentum squad perfectly.

#. Happy Zoo: Biscuit, Nero, Leona

A reappearance of the Happy Zoo squad is also worth looking forward to. While they aren't deeply involved in the main story, they have a dedicated fan base thanks to their 'animal' concept. Nero's story, in particular, tugged at the heartstrings of many Commanders. If the June event has a zoo theme, there would be no better squad to feature than Happy Zoo.
