A sequel to the tactical hot dog hunting VR game 'Hot Dogs, Horseshoes & Hand Grenades (H3VR)' is officially in development.
Developer Anton Hand and Zulubo Productions announced the development of H3VR2 today (the 7th). This marks the first sequel in the 10 years since the original H3VR was released; unlike the first game, which was developed as a solo project, Zulubo Productions has joined the team for this installment.
The original H3VR is a game where players hunt hot dogs using realistically rendered firearms and customizable weapon parts. It features some of the most tactical gun mechanics in all of VR gaming, and despite being a solo-developed title, it has earned an 'Overwhelmingly Positive' rating from 22,140 Steam reviews. Furthermore, the game's unique identity was built on the concept of fighting hot dogs, reflecting Anton's philosophy of avoiding the depiction of killing human enemies.
H3VR2 aims to provide an upgraded experience over its predecessor, featuring advancements in graphics, weapon handling, ballistics, and sound design. The game will be available on Meta Quest 3 and SteamVR, with a release date to be announced at a later time.
