DOUBLEUGAMES (CEO Kim Ga-ram) announced on the 15th that it has decided to acquire an additional 13.33% stake in its subsidiary, Paxie Games, a casual game developer based in Turkey.
With this transaction, DOUBLEUGAMES' ownership in Paxie Games will increase from 60% to 73.33%. The company plans to acquire the remaining 26.67% stake in stages by 2028, based on performance metrics such as revenue growth and profitability, ultimately securing full ownership.
This acquisition is a follow-up procedure to the agreement signed at the time of the initial acquisition of Paxie Games. DOUBLEUGAMES originally structured the deal to acquire the remaining 40% stake in phases using treasury shares. This strategy is designed to minimize cash outflow while aligning the interests of management and key personnel to strengthen the foundation for mid-to-long-term growth.
Paxie Games has maintained a strong growth trajectory since the acquisition. Monthly revenue, which stood at approximately ₩3.2 billion at the end of 2024, grew about 2.4 times to ₩7.7 billion as of December 2025. In particular, with the acceleration of new game releases led by its AI-based development unit, 'AI Lab,' the revenue share of new AI-driven titles reached 49% in the fourth quarter of 2025.
A DOUBLEUGAMES official stated, "This additional stake acquisition serves as an opportunity to further strengthen our long-term partnership with Paxie Games," adding, "We will continue to expand our casual game portfolio and enhance our global competitiveness through rapid new releases from the AI Lab and revenue diversification."
Paxie Games is a Turkey-based casual game developer that DOUBLEUGAMES acquired a 60% stake in during March 2025. The company services over 50 games in the global market, including its flagship title 'Merge Studio,' and has recently been expanding its portfolio based on the success of new AI-based titles such as 'Tap Shift' and 'Farm Loop.'
