Com2uS (CEO Nam Jae-kwan) has announced upcoming commemorative updates and events for 'Summoners War: Sky Arena' (hereinafter 'Summoners War') ahead of its 12th anniversary.
'Summoners War' is a global hit mobile RPG where players collect and combine thousands of monsters to engage in diverse strategic battles. It has long served as a standard-bearer for K-games, enjoying consistent popularity across both Asian and Western markets. This 12th-anniversary update is designed as a tribute festival, packed with rich content and quality-of-life upgrades to thank the global fans who have shown their unwavering support over the past 12 years.
Revealed through the official community's 'Developer Notes,' this 12th-anniversary update will feature unique presentations never before seen in previous anniversary events. Starting April 13, a special 12th-anniversary stage will be erected on the Sky Island, the game's main hub, complete with a massive display, fireworks, and laser effects to create a festive atmosphere. The stage will host performances by popular monsters wearing idol transmogrifications, including Valkyrja, Hell Lady, and Chakram Dancer. Players can also use new decoration items to create their own festival space on the Sky Island and place their favorite monsters there.
The update also introduces a 'Summon Mileage System' to broaden opportunities for acquiring natural 5-star monsters. Mileage points accumulate with every scroll used; upon reaching 2,000 points, players can guarantee the additional summon of one natural 5-star monster of Fire, Water, or Wind attribute. Additionally, new 'Artifacts' will be added, which can be applied to up to 100 monsters at level 40. These are expected to serve as a new growth element, allowing players to apply the same artifact effects to optimal monster groups and enhance the performance of multiple monsters at once.
Various quality-of-life and content upgrades are also planned. 'Special Missions' will be added as permanent content to the Summoner's Way, supporting the selective summoning of natural 4- and 5-star monsters and providing up to 10 skill level-ups. This allows both new and existing users to select and obtain hard-to-get natural 5-star monsters, further enhancing the fun of monster collection and growth. Graphic renewals for seven monsters, including Phoenix, are scheduled, and a 'Deck Preset' update will arrive in late April. This will allow players to save not only monster information but also engraved equipment data for each piece of content, significantly increasing the convenience of deck management.
Alongside these updates, various commemorative events will be held, offering a wealth of rewards, including the 12th-anniversary 'Moon Fairy' Mermaid transmogrification.
More detailed information regarding the upcoming 12th-anniversary update and events can be found on the official 'Summoners War' cafe.
