KRAFTON, Inc. (CEO Kim Chang-han) has introduced a new mode, 'Xeno Point,' and launched a Contender system in collaboration with 'Stellar Blade' as part of the 41.1 update for 'PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS.'

'Xeno Point' is a cooperative PvE roguelite mode where players must eliminate alien threats invading the Miramar region. It offers a fresh combat experience each session through randomized stages and a progression system. Based on a cosmic horror concept featuring alien enemies and abilities, the mode blends the game's signature realistic military setting with otherworldly elements. Players start at a central hub, explore various regions to complete missions, and progress through increasingly difficult tiers to challenge the final boss, 'Architect.'

The mode features various growth elements, including 'Blue Chip Skills' that allow players to build offensive, defensive, or support loadouts, and 'Super' skills that harness alien abilities. Players can strengthen their characters by investing skill points across repeated sessions and utilize the 'Xeno Cannon,' a signature weapon powered by alien technology, for strategic combat. A variety of missions—such as rallying, capturing ruins, invasions, annihilation, eliminating intruders, and defeating the Architect—are available, allowing players to gradually expand their combat experience through replayability. An 'Event Pass: Xeno Point' has also been released alongside the mode.

Content from a collaboration with the popular action game 'Stellar Blade' has also been added. As the first IP collaboration to utilize the Contender system, 'EVE,' the protagonist of Stellar Blade, enters the PUBG universe. While EVE was a 'Savior' of humanity in the original game, she has been reimagined as a 'Survivor' for her appearance in PUBG.

The Contender EVE character offers multiple visual stages, including her iconic suit and casual attire, along with exclusive emotes, lobby poses, kill effects, and parachute trail effects. Additionally, a variety of collaboration items have been added, including gear sets (helmets and backpacks), a machete, energy drink skins, parachutes, weapon charms, and sprays.

Collaboration content with the global artist group aespa is also returning. Players can once again acquire various items, including character appearances and outfit sets for each member, emote packs, weapon skins, frying pan skins, and parachutes. This content will be available for a limited time from April 22 to April 30.

Various other system updates have been implemented as well. The terrain destruction system has been expanded to the 'Erangel' map, and a new Level 3 Jammer Pack has been added. Furthermore, a new feature allowing players to call in supply drops using enemy Blue Chips at Blue Chip Transmitter towers has been introduced, further broadening the range of combat strategies.
