Mobile RPG Cookie Run: Kingdom, developed by Studio Kingdom under Devsisters (CEO Cho Gil-hyun), has launched a collaboration with the Netflix animated film 'K-Pop: Demon Hunters.'
◼ Protect the Cookie World's Spirit Gates with a Dazzling Performance: The Huntrix Trio Arrives as Cookies
The three members of 'Huntrix,' a group that leads a double life as K-pop stars and hunters protecting the world's spirit gates, have joined Cookie Run: Kingdom as playable Cookies.
The center of Huntrix, 'Lumi Cookie,' is an Ambush-type Cookie who uses her skill to gain fan support before dashing to the farthest enemy, slashing them multiple times with her signature sword, and delivering a powerful ground-slam for damage. Main dancer 'Mira Cookie,' a Charge-type Cookie, swings a massive curved blade to damage enemies and releases a shockwave to stun them. The Ranged-type 'Joy Cookie' uses her skill to grant fan support to Huntrix members before leaping into the air to throw divine blades.
The five members of the 'Saja Boys,' a group of demon idols with complex pasts, and the popular duo 'Duffy and Seo' also appear as Guest Cookies. The Korean in-game voices for Huntrix and the Saja Boys are provided by the original voice actors from the film, including Shin Na-ri and Min Seung-woo.
Additionally, three 'Huntrix Cookie Skin: Golden Version' sets and five 'Saja Boys Cookie Skin: Grim Reaper Version' sets have been released, featuring their glamorous stage outfits.
◼ Experience the Narrative of 'K-Pop: Demon Hunters' in Cookie Run: Kingdom Style: From Special Episodes to Interactive Decor
This update also introduces various in-game content that allows players to experience the story of the film reimagined through the world of Cookies.
In the collaboration-exclusive special episode, 'Huntrix's Concert in the Cookie World!', players can follow the story of Huntrix and the Dark Cacao warriors as they defend the Cookie world against the Saja Boys and demons that have invaded the Dark Cacao Kingdom. After appearing in the kingdom to chase away evil spirits, the Huntrix Cookies decide to hold a concert to strengthen the world's spirit gates. However, they face conflict when demons, having made a pact with the Gwi-ma to disguise themselves as idols, attempt to sabotage the event.
Ten types of themed decor, meticulously recreating scenes from the film with a Cookie Run: Kingdom aesthetic, have also been introduced. These include the Golden Stage from the film's climax, the fortress wall path where Lumi and Jin-woo met, and the vibrant Soda Pop stage. Notably, four of these stage and set-piece decorations allow players to play OST tracks like 'Golden,' 'Soda Pop,' and 'Your Idol' through interactions with Cookies when placed in the kingdom.
Furthermore, a variety of fun content has been added, including the 'Gwi-ma Chaos Raid' set to the film's OST, the 'Infinite Survival' mode with Huntrix, and mini-games such as 'Duffy's Horn-Wiggler Catch' and 'Lumi Cookie's Duffy-Duffy High Jump.'
To celebrate the collaboration, an event offering special merchandise is underway. Players who participate in the collaboration mini-games or decorate their kingdoms with the new themed decor and post proof on social media can enter a raffle to win a merchandise package featuring illustrations of Huntrix, the Saja Boys, and Duffy and Seo (including three keyrings, an acrylic stand, a square memo pad, and three card stickers).
