Bonnie Bear Saves Frogtime Reveals Star-Studded Voice Cast

Bonte Avond unveiled a new trailer and voice cast details for its upcoming indie role-playing game during the Convergence Showcase on Thursday, offering a closer look at its comedic, frog-themed adventure.

The game, Bonnie Bear Saves Frogtime, is the latest project from Bonte Avond, the Dutch musician duo known for the narrative-driven indie title Once Upon a Jester. The studio described the reveal as a “Voice Actor Reveal,” highlighting a guest cast whose combined social media following exceeds 78 million.

According to the developer, the new trailer introduces players to the game’s central premise: a comedy-focused RPG built around a fictional tactical battler called “Frogtime.” In the game’s world, Frogtime mechanics influence everything from combat encounters to quest resolution.

Bonte Avond characterized the title as a “frog-obsessed comedy adventure,” featuring tactical frog battles, unconventional quests and a prominent creature referred to as the “motherfrogger.”

While specific cast members were not detailed in the announcement, the developer emphasized the scale of the collaboration, framing it as a crossover between the creator community and indie game development.

A Fully Voice-Acted Comedy RPG

Bonnie Bear Saves Frogtime is presented as a fully voice-acted, handcrafted RPG with a strong emphasis on humor and absurdity. The game follows Bonnie Bear through a series of bizarre scenarios shaped by Frogtime, a system that functions as both gameplay mechanic and narrative device.

Bonte Avond said the project continues its focus on personality-driven storytelling, similar to its previous work, but with expanded production elements, including full voice performances.

“This crossover between the creator community and indie gaming is something we’re incredibly excited about,” the studio said in a statement accompanying the reveal. “We believe players will connect with both the humor and the unique gameplay systems.” Bonnie Bear Saves Frogtime has not yet received a confirmed launch date.
