As part of its new entertainment venture for the year, information enabling fans to preview what the project will actually look like was revealed via Pokémon Presents. PokéPark KANTO will be built on approximately 2.6 hectares within the grounds of Yomiuriland in Japan. Yomiuriland is an amusement park spanning Inagi City in Tokyo and the Tama Ward of Kawasaki City in Kanagawa Prefecture.
Junichi Masuda, Chief Creative Fellow at The Pokémon Company, explained in the video that he launched this project with the desire to create a space where people and Pokémon can spend time together. PokéPark KANTO comprises two primary areas: Pokémon Forest and Sedge Town. Pokémon Forest is designed as a lush woodland inhabited by Pokémon, while Sedge Town is envisioned as an engaging gathering space for Pokémon and trainers.
Fellow Masuda said he wants to convey the emotion of exploring the Pokémon world—imagining Pokémon playing together in groups and what they might be doing as they wander and interact. PokéPark KANTO is scheduled to open in spring 2026, with advance ticket sales beginning this fall.
