HellRaisers pauses operations as result of Russia's invasion of Ukraine

Esports organization HellRaisers has announced that it is putting all of its projects on hold, following Russia's war against Ukraine. "Our staff includes people with Russian passports, and they are still with Ukrainian colleagues in Ukraine," the team stated on Twitter. "They are also under attack of Putin's army."

HellRaisers are pausing its endeavors for the entire duration of the war. "The HellRaisers project can't keep working in a current situation and will be on hold until the war ends. We don't know how long it will be." HellRaisers' CS:GO team will not be competing for the foreseeable future. The Dota 2 team of the organization will continue to participate in tournaments, although not under the HellRaisers tag.

While HellRaisers are putting their operations on pause, the team intends to keep paying their employees their salaries. Once the war in Ukraine is over, they'll all be welcomed back to work for the team.

In their statement, HellRaisers also bring awareness to Russian propaganda about the invasion. "There is an information war on socials and tv. You shouldn't trust Russian media talking about "the rescue operation" and no losses in Russian forces. Be very careful and check all the sources that give information to you."

Since the start of Russia's invasion, several esports organizations have commented on the situation. Natus Vincere announced to be cutting all ties with ESForce Holding for allegedly denying the atrocities in Ukraine. ESL stated that all teams with connections to the Russian state were banned from its competitions, although the players would be allowed to compete under a neutral flag.
