Nintendo easily stole the show at E3 with its Nintendo Direct early Tuesday morning. And all it took was a few exciting announcements. Here is everything you need to know about the Nintendo Direct.

Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild 2

Legend of Zelda fans finally got a release date for BOTW2. And it's all the way in 2022. But fans have already stated that they are willing to wait, already calling the game a "masterpiece." The trailer showed that the world has expanded beyond Hyrule.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate DLC: Kazuya

With a 10-hit combo and a comeback mechanic, Kazuya is already looking to be a favorite amongst competitive Smash players. Not a lot is known about this villainous Tekken fighter but there will be more information revealed on June 28 at 7 AM PST.

Metroid Dread

The first 2D Metroid title in almost 20 years, Metroid Dread was immediately a huge hit at E3. With beautiful cut scenes and horror-themed gameplay, it was definitely an interesting addition to the Metroid IP. The Nintendo Treehouse immediately after the Direct showcased some Dread gameplay, including a closer look at all of Samus' interesting weapons and abilities. The game is coming out October 8, 2021.

Mario Party Superstars

Mario Party Superstars was a huge hit with fans of the series. It features over 100 minigames taken from every game in the franchise thus far. It also has five classic maps, including Space Land and Peach's Birthday Cake, both from the Nintendo 64. This epic party game is coming out on October 29, 2021.

Wario Ware: Get It Together

This humorous game is packed with zany microgames people can play with their friends. Some of the games include tweezing armpit hair, unclogging a bathtub, and avoiding bird poop. The news immediately excited Nintendo fans, who have anxiously awaited something like this. The game will come out September 10, 2021.

Everything else announced at the Nintendo Direct at E3 2021

It's easy to see how Nintendo stole the show. Not only were the Sony and Microsoft announcements underwhelming, but Nintendo came prepared with a lot of exciting news for their fans. Here are some of the other games that are coming to the Nintendo Switch in 2021:

  • Mario Golf: Super Rush (June 25)
  • Life Is Strange: True Colors (September 10)
  • Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot (September 24)
  • Super Monkey Ball: Banana Mania (October 5)
  • Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy (October 26)
  • Shin Megami Tensei 5 (November 12)
  • Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water (2021)

The Legend of Zelda will also get an interesting release thanks to its 35th anniversary. A new Game & Watch handheld console will feature some classic games, including NES' The Legend of Zelda and Game Boy's The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening. This will be coming November 12, 2021.

And while no Captain Toad was announced, either as Smash DLC or a sequel to Treasure Tracker, we did see Toad looking mighty dapper in the soon-to-be-released golf game. I mean, look.
