March 28 was the last day of the 2021 League of Legends Champions Korea Spring Split regular season. This day, T1 swept Hanwha Life Esports 2-0 and Liiv SANDBOX upset DRX 2-1 with an unbelievable turnaround.
The first match was between T1 and Hanwha Life Esports. T1 dominated game 1 with a flawless performance. Their Senna-Tahm Kench bot lane dominated the laning phase against Ezreal-Yuumi. The snowball that started from the bot lane rolled throughout the Rift and T1 was able to finish the game in 25 minutes.
T1's bot lane again led the win in game 2. Ryu "Keria" Min-seok's Gragas ambushed the opponent Tristana to draw first blood. Again, T1 snowballed through that lead. Hanwha Life Esports' counters were sharp, but the difference got too big after T1 slew Baron. With the win, T1 raised expectations for the playoffs.
DRX and Liiv SANDBOX fought fiercely through their strong top side. Liiv SANDBOX took the lead first in the first game. They utilized the Rift Herald to expand their lead and managed the objectives well to take the game. In the second game, it was DRX who took the lead on the top side. Hong "Pyosik" Chang-hyeon's Hecarim recorded a pentakill — the second-ever LCK jungler pentakill — in a teamfight and contributed to the win.
The final winner was Liiv SANDBOX in this clash. Liiv SANDBOX fell behind on the top side and was pushed to the edge of the cliff. However, they turned the game around in a big teamfight win near Baron. Lee "Prince" Chae-hwan's Samira placed an amazing ult to secure an Ace. That was the end of the game.
