On Dec. 17th, the second semi finals match of the 2020 LoL KeSPA Cup Ulsan between Nongshim RedForce and kt Rolster took place. Nongshim were able to shut down KT in a clean 3:0 victory, and looks ahead to face DAMWON Gaming in the finals.

Game 1 was a comeback victory. The point of comeback for Nongshim started when Han “Peanut” Wang-ho stole the dragon to enable Ocean Soul, which amplified their team composition’s teamfighting. The objective fights that took place afterwards were landslide victories for NS, eventually leading to the destruction of KT’s Nexus and NS leading the series 1:0.

Game 2 was a comeback victory for NS as well. While they fell behind early in their laning phase, NS were the stronger team when it came to key teamfights, thus swinging the momentum in their favor. Lee “Rich” Jae-won, despite falling behind early by dying from ganks and personal mistakes, was able to prove himself useful in teamfights on his signature champion, Aatrox.

With the series being match point for NS, KT decided to sub in their entire secondary roster to change things up. However, game 3 went pretty similar to game 1 and 2, as KT were unable to come out on top in objective teamfights, despite having an early lead. It was a clean sweep for NS, and they now look to face the 2020 world champions, DAMWON Gaming.
