Evil Geniuses made their entrance to the LCS Franchise in the 2019 off-season one year ago, signing many former Cloud9 players to start off. They then made multiple roster changes throughout the year, eventually picking up Heo "Huni" Seung-hoon and Greyson "Goldenglue" Gilmer. They failed to make it to an NA Finals and to Worlds, however, which was their outspoken goal from the start which led them to make multiple upgrades this off-season. Here is their current rumored 2021 roster.

This entire roster was reported by Jacob Wolf on his very own Free Agency Show that took place on the Evil Geniuses Twitch channel. It was rumored a bit ago that with Peter Dun's arrival, the team would be rebuilding around jungler, Dennis "Svenskeren" Johnsen. He is one of two players remaining, along with Daniele "Jiizuke" di Mauro who was replaced by Goldenglue halfway through summer thanks to import restrictions. Those two will be joined by former Team Liquid top laner, Jung "Impact" Eon-yeong, TSM Academy bot, Lawrence "Lost" Sze Yuy Hui, and FlyQuest support, Lee "IgNar" Dong-geun. While none of the players are original NA residents, Impact and Svenskeren have NA residency and Lost has OCE residency, which does not take an import slot in NA due to the OPL's closure.

Update 11/17: Evil Geniuses and Zeyzal officially parted ways, making Zeyzal a free agent for the 2021 season.

Update 11/18: According to a tweet by Jacob Wolf, TSM is struggling to sign their support preference, Hu "SwordArt" Shuo-Chieh. If they fail to do so, their roster plans will shift and they may keep Lost as their starting AD carry, declining their proposed trade to EG. In that case, EG would need a different bot laner and may also retain Huni, who they're currently set to trade to TSM.

Update 11/21: Evil Geniuses has officially signed IgNar, announcing him via Twitter.

Update 12/1: Evil Geniuses have announced a promotion of their former Academy AD carry, Deftly, Matthew "Deftly" Chen, who had been reportedly traded to FlyQuest as a part of their IgNar acquisition. Deftly will start for Evil Geniuses' 2021 LCS squad.

Update 12/2: Evil Geniuses has confirmed the signing of Impact as the team's new top laner.

UPDATE 12/11: Evil Geniuses announced their Amateur roster, featuring the entire Zenith Esports roster, Jett "Srtty" Joye, Tomio "Tomio" Chan, Joshua "Aspect" Lee, Kyle "Shiro" Sakamaki, and Lin "Richard" "Mist" Zi-Lan. They're also accompanied by their Zenith coach as well, Ian "ido" McCormick. EG drafted Tomio in the NA Scouting Grounds Draft last month.

UPDATE 1/5: After finalizing its LCS and amateur rosters, Evil Geniuses has finalized its roster for EG Academy.
