Janelle "Freya Fox" Kao , a pro gaming streamer and Facebook Gaming Fighting Game Champion has teamed up with the American Cancer Society to fight cancer. Freya Fox's 'Gamers vs Cancer' stream is a part of American Cancer Society's #GivingTuesdayNow campaign, and will go live today, May 5th, at 5:00pm PT on Freya Fox's Twitch channel.

The American Cancer Society launched #GivingTuesdayNow campaign in response to the needs caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. Freya Fox isn't the only streamer to take part in the campaign — Levi Wallace, a professional cornerback for National Football League franchise Buffalo Bills, will also be streaming separately towards the cause in partnership with the ACS.

Freya Fox has worked with ACS in the past. In November 2018, Freya Fox raised money for Giving Tuesday, and after Facebook Gaming matched the donations dollar for dollar, the total amount raised was $2,000.

Freya Fox is a champion of social initiatives through games, but working with the ACS is personal to her: "I want to show that video games really bring people together, and in this case it's for a great cause. The American Cancer Society is doing great things and this cause is very meaningful to me because my Dad battled prostate cancer when I was in college.

He ultimately survived and has been cancer-free for almost 10 years now. Gamers are good at winning, and I do believe that one day, we will win the fight against cancer too."

Donation links will be shown during Freya Fox's stream for those who want to contribute to the cause. Tune in at 5:00pm PT at twitch.tv/freyafoxtv to see what games Freya Fox will be playing and how the stream will serve the greater #GivingTuesdayNow campaign by the American Cancer Society.
