Cloud9 secured a post-season berth after winning its first 11 games in the 2020 League of Legends Championship Series Spring Split. Though the team's perfect split was cut short in a defeat this weekend at the hands of TSM, a Monday night win over Golden Guardians brought Cloud9 to a record of 13-1 and subsequently, a lock for the first seed in the 2020 LCS Spring Playoffs.

FlyQuest and TSM are currently tied for 2nd place at 8-6, and the distance between them and the top is what led to C9 securing the 1st seed for Spring Playoffs with two full weeks of play left in the Spring Split. Cloud9 Head Coach Bok "Reapered" Han-gyu joined Inven Global after his team's win over Golden Guardians.

"Yes, I do expect it, and I will take home the championship this year," Reapered said when asked about C9's likelihood of winning its first LCS championship since the spring of 2014.

Now that Cloud9 has secured 1st place, expect the team to experiment more within its draft, especially after TSM's counter-draft led to the only loss of the season for C9 this past weekend. The final four opponents for Cloud9 in the 2020 LCS Spring Split are 100 Thieves, Counter Logic Gaming, Evil Geniuses, and Team Liquid.
