[LCK Today] DragonX joins the 7-win club alongside Gen.G and T1, APK takes their second win of the season.

On the 4th (KST), with both matches ending in 2-0, DragonX and APK Prince respectively took down DAMWON Gaming and Hanwha Life Esports. APK Prince’s performance was by far the best they had this season, and showed the possibility of getting out of last place in the standings.

In the first match, DRX took down DWG to join the 7-win club alongside Gen.G and T1. DRX seemingly took the advantage right from the draft. Although DWG took an aggressive mid-jungle duo with Leblanc-Lee Sin, it was not enough to break through the teamfighting-global team composition on the side of DRX. Choi “Doran” Hyeon-joon also showed a stellar performance on Ornn, a champion that’s high in the tier list for the 10.3 patch.

In game 2, DragonX were the ones that showed controlled aggression to dominate the enemy. Amidst the aggressiveness that DRX showed, Hong “Pyosik” Chang-hyeon on Olaf was the key player for the team. With an amazing 1 vs 2 that killed the enemy mid-jungle, he was in the frontlines of all the teamfights. Ryu “Keria” Min-seok also shined on Volibear, who also performed in all points of the game.

APK and HLE faced off in the second match of the evening. APK took game 1 by the storm. With an unorthodox draft that included top Zilean and Lulu support, APK showed dominance right from the laning phase. Sung “Flawless” Yeon-jun and Kim “Cover” Joo-eon, the mid laner who played his debut match in the LCK, showed great synergy to take down HLE.

In game 2, HLE’s bot lane was the key in taking an early game lead. Son “Lehends” Si-woo was very accurate with his skill shots to take the lead. However, APK took over the game by putting a lot of pressure in the top lane, and was able to be ahead of HLE by showing better focus in teamfights. APK had a poke comp, and the fact that the enemy was lacking means of engage played favorably to APK. In the end, APK came back from behind to take the victory, and take their second win of the season.
