Epic Games has continued to make the holiday season one of giving by continuously pouring out new cosmetic updates and downloadable content for players of all varieties throughout its Winterfest event. In addition to the new content, Fortnite has brought back an old favorite from its first chapter by bringing Fishtick back to the Fortnite universe.

Fishtick has hit the Item Shop, and is available alongside two items incorporated in the character's introduction to Chapter 2. The Bootstraps Pickaxe and Coral Cruiser can also be picked up for those especially elated to see Fishstick return and want to show their appreciation for everyone's favorited gilled guy.

Fishstick enjoyed time in the spotlight of the competitive scene in the form of the 2019 Fortnite World Cup. The first tournament to take place was the Creative Tournament, and Fishstick was the posterboy of the victorious Fish Fam, a team led by FaZe Clan’s Cizzorz and rounded out by HiImTylerH, ZAND, and Suezhoo. Fish Fam went home with the lion’s share of the Creative Tournament’s $3 million prize pool.

Whether Fishstick will show his gills in significant parts of the Fortnite competitive scene once again has yet to be seen, but the fan favorite’s drop into Chapter 2 has re-opened the possibility.
