Gen.G, which had been struggling after recording two consecutive losses at the LCK Roadshow, snapped its losing streak with a 2-1 victory over Hanwha Life. Conversely, Hanwha Life has now recorded three consecutive losses in the LCK.

Gen.G drew first blood when 'Canyon's' sharp gank forced a Flash out of 'Zeus'' Rumble before securing the kill. Hanwha Life responded by popping 'Chovy's' Anivia egg and picking up a kill in the mid lane, while in the bot lane, 'Ruler's' Jhin won a 1v1 duel against 'Gumayusi's' Miss Fortune. 'Kanavi's' Jarvan then capitalized on a window where Anivia lacked Flash to secure another kill, and Gen.G won a subsequent bot lane skirmish. They followed up by taking down a well-farmed Cassiopeia in the bot lane.

A short while later, a fight broke out near the Rift Herald. Hanwha Life landed their skills more effectively, securing two kills, and followed up by catching Anivia in the mid lane again. Although Gen.G managed to take down Miss Fortune, Hanwha Life came out slightly ahead. The game then slowed down, shifting toward macro play rather than constant skirmishing.

Gen.G secured a clear advantage after taking the mid tier-two tower, the Dragon Soul, and Baron. Leveraging these objectives to widen the gold gap, Gen.G took the first set against Hanwha Life.

In the second set, a major teamfight erupted during the first Dragon spawn. Hanwha Life executed a cleaner fight, trading one kill for three. Although Gen.G managed a counterattack, Hanwha Life regained momentum, led by 'Zeka's' Akali. Hanwha Life, having secured the earlier Dragons, consistently won the Dragon teamfights to claim the Soul. They then decisively won a teamfight near Gen.G's blue buff and marched straight to the Nexus to tie the series 1-1.

In the final third set, Gen.G attempted a level 3 dive while pushing the bot lane, resulting in a trade between 'Gumayusi's' [Champion Name] and 'Duro's' Renata. Gen.G then attempted a dive in the top lane; 'Kingen's' Varus held his ground well, taking down 'Zeus'' Mundo before falling. Gen.G returned to the bot lane to secure another kill on [Champion Name], and 'Kanavi's' Shyvana pressured the top lane again to take down Varus.

Gen.G secured the first two Dragons. A skirmish appeared imminent during the Rift Herald spawn, but Gen.G safely secured the objective. In the crucial third Dragon fight, Gen.G took the Dragon and won the teamfight thanks to 'Kingen's' Varus. Hanwha Life cleared vision, quickly took Baron, and headed toward the Dragon.

A teamfight broke out quickly over the Dragon, and a well-farmed Mundo seemed poised to clean up the battlefield. However, 'Chovy's' Syndra miraculously survived, taking down both Mundo and Leona, allowing Gen.G to claim the Dragon Soul. Gen.G then took Baron, but in the ensuing teamfight, Mundo once again made a massive impact, allowing Hanwha Life to recover.

With Gen.G's death timers staggered, Hanwha Life secured the Elder Dragon and pushed, but Gen.G successfully defended. As both teams prepared for another teamfight, 'Delight's' Leona was caught out in a costly mistake. Gen.G capitalized on the numbers advantage to win the 5v4 fight decisively, snapping their two-game losing streak and securing their first win of the third round.
