Dplus KIA, perhaps the team that garnered the least attention among LCK participants, has defied the odds to reach the finals. Despite facing internal wage payment issues and a difficult atmosphere, the team has seemingly turned these challenges into an opportunity.

During the hunt for the first Dragon, DK managed to take down 'Canyon's' Naafiri. DK continued to build a lead over Gen.G through successful bottom-lane dives and skirmishes near the Dragon pit. By the 19-minute mark, DK held a 5k-gold lead, though Gen.G did manage to pick off 'Smash's' Ezreal.

DK remained in control, quickly securing three Dragon stacks. Gen.G prevented them from taking the next Dragon and narrowed the gold gap slightly. However, DK pulled away again after winning a skirmish in Gen.G's blue-side jungle. In the following teamfight, DK secured a decisive victory, chasing down the retreating opponents to wipe them out and secure Baron.

Gen.G showed incredible resilience. Despite being behind, their five-man coordination allowed them to win a teamfight and close the gap. Both teams displayed immense focus. While Gen.G's comeback attempt was impressive, DK won the final teamfight, eventually taking the first set after a long, grueling game.

The second set was fiercely contested. Gen.G held a slight lead early on, but DK gradually clawed their way back through skirmishes, keeping the game tight. Gen.G, having consistently secured Dragons, eventually gained the upper hand and prepared for the next Dragon after reaching three stacks.

After calmly securing vision and taking the Dragon Soul, Gen.G turned their attention to Baron. A teamfight broke out at the 31-minute mark; DK eliminated three members, leaving only Ziggs and Akali, and secured Baron. With the buff, the momentum shifted to DK.

Gen.G still held a slight lead in global gold, making the next teamfight critical. The teams clashed in the mid lane, where Gen.G emerged victorious after taking down DK's primary damage dealer, 'Smash's' Miss Fortune. Gen.G then secured the Elder Dragon and went on the offensive. DK defended well, but eventually crumbled under the pressure of Gen.G's Elder Dragon and Baron-empowered push, leveling the series at 1-1.

In the final set, both teams played cautiously, avoiding unnecessary fights and focusing on growth by trading top and bottom towers. The first kill did not occur until the 15-minute mark, when Gen.G caught out 'Lucid's' Jarvan near the mid lane. The teams traded a few more kills as the game progressed.

DK secured a massive victory in a mid teamfight and quickly took Baron. With the momentum in their favor, DK waited patiently for the next Dragon. During the ensuing fight, 'Canyon's' Xin Zhao managed to secure the Dragon, but DK won the teamfight. Gen.G faced a major crisis but managed a desperate defense to prevent the game from ending.

Ultimately, DK emerged as the winner. After picking off 'Chovy's' Sylas in the top lane and securing Baron, DK launched a final assault, destroyed Gen.G's Nexus, and advanced to the finals. As a result, the third-place match will feature T1 vs. Gen.G, while the finals will see Karmine Corp (KC) face off against Dplus KIA.
