Actoz Soft announced on the 24th that it has launched the first part of its massive 20th-anniversary 'Shining' update for its action RPG, LaTale.

The first part of the Shining update introduces a new scenario where players must carry out a divine oracle to destroy a source of despair threatening the world in the city of angels, Linford. It also unveils the new town of Linford and the new field, Aether Road, which serve as the primary stages for this adventure alongside new NPCs such as Ariel and Hailey.

Additionally, the update opens two new instance dungeons: the 4-player 'River of Hatred and Oaths,' a desolate river for souls seeking rest, and the 8-player 'Amaranth Nova,' a twisted place that once dreamed of eternity. In these dungeons, players will encounter new boss monsters: Elone, awakened by the power of the abyss; Nukalaba, a creature stirred from the remains of an ancient god; and Barbatos, who has arrived to end a long journey fueled by despair.

Furthermore, the update includes extensive quality-of-life improvements, such as making it easier to acquire Item Awakening, Summons, Legend Skills, and Transcendence Skills. Other changes include the removal of Bound Stones and the Item Collection, the addition of a scenario dialogue skip function, and the introduction of a dungeon conquest system. Notably, two new upscaling options for windowed mode have been added to improve visibility in QHD and UHD environments.

Meanwhile, Actoz Soft has prepared events offering unprecedented rewards and benefits to celebrate the LaTale 20th-anniversary Shining update.

The '20th Anniversary Pop-up Festa' event features various sections, including Festa Check-in, Challenge Zone, Adventure, Play Zone, Ranking Stage, and Side Stage. Players can participate through attendance, event quests, missions, and exchanges to earn top-tier rewards, including various growth support items.

In addition, the '20th Anniversary Parade Attendance' event offers generous gifts just for logging in, such as items for easier growth, a Season 3 End-game Pet Selection Ticket, a 20th Anniversary Dot Ring Balloon Registration Ticket, an End-game Pet Box, and weapon skins. The 'Ultra Burning 6' event has also been expanded to support character growth up to Transcendence level 2010.
