A new trailer has been released for 'Fable', the open world action RPG currently in development by Playground Games.
Just as the original 'Fable' offered players the freedom to choose between good and evil, this reboot also centers on 'freedom of choice' as its core value. Players begin the game as a child and eventually embark on an adventure that will shape their own destiny and that of the world. Along the way, they will encounter various characters and face countless crossroads, with every step between good and evil left entirely to the player.
This freedom extends to the combat system as well. There is no set way to deal with monsters. A diverse array of enemies appears, from werewolves and undead to giant toads, and there are endless ways to defeat them. The trailer showcases the use of various melee weapons, such as swords, two-handed maces, and dual blades, alongside magic. Players are not restricted to a specific style or weapon, as they can freely combine various equipment and skills, suggesting that combat actions can be tailored to the player's own preferences.
Once a renowned flagship IP for Xbox, 'Fable' is scheduled for release on February 23, 2027, for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
