Jennifer English, who voiced the character Gwendolyn in 'Wave of Destruction' (currently in development by Eclipse Glow Games), has stepped down from the game due to health issues.
On the 18th, Eclipse Glow Games announced her departure via the official 'Wave of Ruin' X (formerly Twitter) account. The notice, which began by expressing regret, stated that English is leaving for health reasons, and that the studio respects her decision and wishes her a full recovery.
According to the announcement, English will complete voice recording for the demo version to be unveiled at Gamescom 2026, after which she will serve in an advisory role to help maintain the character's quality. A replacement for the role of Gwendolyn has not yet been named.
Jennifer English is a British actor and voice artist. Prior to 'Wave of Ruin,' she was known for her roles as Shadowheart in 'Baldur's Gate 3' and Mael in 'Clair Obscur: Expedition 33'.
