PocketPair has announced that its title 'Palworld' has surpassed 40 million cumulative players ahead of its official launch on July 10.
This milestone comes approximately two and a half years after the game first debuted in Early Access in January 2024. To mark the occasion, PocketPair released a video thanking its community and reflecting on key updates from the past. Since its initial surge in popularity, the developer has maintained and expanded its player base through consistent content additions and cross-platform support.
However, games graduating from Early Access on Steam do not always see a secondary sales spike upon their official release. Consequently, it has become crucial for the 1 official version to showcase new content and expansions that existing fans have not yet seen. The official version will launch simultaneously on PC, PS5, and XSX|S on July 10, and will be available for free to existing owners. The developer has teased a 27-page patch note and recommends starting with a new character due to the scale of the changes.
With 'Palworld' having achieved the clear milestone of 40 million players, all eyes are now on how it will sustain this momentum moving forward.
