The organizing committee for AGF, the largest animation and game festival in Korea, has released an official digest video capturing the vibrant atmosphere of 'AGF 2025,' which was held last year on the largest scale in the event's history.
This digest video condenses the three days of 'AGF 2025,' held from Friday, December 5 to Sunday, December 7 at KINTEX Exhibition Center 1 in Ilsan, into a single feature. It captures the non-stop energy of the festival, showcasing booths filling Halls 1 through 5, experiential content that brought popular IP worlds to life, pop-up stores featuring limited-edition merchandise, the iconic cosplay scene, and the RED and BLUE stages, which hosted voice actor talk shows and mini-live performances. The video brings the cheers of the 100k attendees who packed KINTEX directly to the screen.
Domestic subculture fandoms no longer stop at simply consuming works. As global hits like 'Attack on Titan,' 'Demon Slayer,' 'Chainsaw Man,' and the 'Solo Leveling' series continue to expand their fan bases in Korea, consumption has evolved beyond viewing to include 'open runs' for limited-edition goods, cross-regional shopping trips, and visiting spaces that recreate the worlds of these works. With the increase in offline touchpoints like pop-up stores, the way fans enjoy content has shifted from sitting in front of a monitor to seeing, touching, and participating in person. In gaming, too, the culture of sharing the experience on-site with others who love the same IP is growing beyond the solitary play experience.
'AGF' stands at the center of this shift. Fans can walk through the worlds of their favorite works in large-scale booths that bring game and animation spaces to life, and meet voice actors and virtual creators they previously only saw on screens. Stage programs, where artists and the audience interact, transform content once enjoyed alone into a shared experience. The ability to gather these scattered offline experiences into one place over three days is why 'AGF' is in the spotlight.
As a result, 'AGF' surpassed 100k official attendees (100518) for the first time last year, marking a record-breaking growth of approximately 40% compared to the previous year. With major domestic and international game companies and globally popular IPs participating in large numbers, the event took a leap forward in both scale and lineup. Having established itself as a venue where fans and brands meet directly, 'AGF' is leading the expansion of related events and contributing to the growth of the domestic subculture festival market. As the demand for experiential content continues to rise, anticipation for this year's 'AGF 2026' is higher than ever.
'AGF 2026,' the premier festival for subculture fans in Korea, will be held from Friday, December 4 to Sunday, December 6, 2026, at KINTEX Exhibition Center 1 in Ilsan, and is set to welcome visitors with even more special and diverse content.
