AButton has released the official trailer for its new fantasy FPS roguelite, 'Guns & Dragons,' and announced that testing will begin at the end of July.
Guns & Dragons is a solo and co-op roguelite FPS for up to three players. Players wield firearms or bows to explore caves, dungeons, and quiet villages, battling hordes of monsters with evolving weapon builds. Between runs, players can expand their base and develop magitech-infused equipment to gain increasingly powerful capabilities. By combining runes, artifacts, and skills, players can devise unique strategies for every run, whether playing solo or testing out outlandish weapon combinations with friends.
The first Steam playtest for Guns & Dragons is scheduled to run from 12:00 AM PDT on July 30 (4:00 PM KST) through August 10. Applications for the test are available on the game's Steam page.
Park Jun-woo, Game Director at AButton, stated, "Guns & Dragons is a project born of passion. We wanted to capture the fun of designing increasingly absurd weapons and seeing how far players can push their limits." He added, "While the combat is designed to be challenging, the weapon evolution process offers players the joy of free experimentation. We are thrilled to unveil Guns & Dragons and give players the chance to experience it firsthand during our first playtest starting July 30."
Meanwhile, AButton will also showcase a playable demo of Guns & Dragons at ChinaJoy 2026, which runs from July 31 to August 3.
