Nexon Games' Blue Archive reached the top spot in domestic Steam sales today (the 10th), marking its highest performance since the game's official launch.

This achievement is attributed to the 'Decagrammaton Chapter 3' update released on the 9th. In this update, players join various students to defeat all of the prophets' replicas on the Steel Continent before finally facing the last prophet, Malkuth, to conclude the Decagrammaton storyline. Additionally, the release of the 'Aris' (Maid) variant and the 'Key' (Kei) character as part of a Fes recruitment banner has drawn an enthusiastic response from players.

'Key' (Kei) in particular has been a focal point since her debut on the JP server. Originally, she was a character hostile to players, serving as the 'Key' intended to awaken Aris and destroy the world. However, through Aris' persuasion, she shed her identity as the Key and adopted the name 'Kei'—a name Momoi had misread. Later, in the Part 1 finale, she was moved by Aris’ attempt to pierce the shield of the Ark of Atrahasis to save the world, and she sacrificed herself in Aris' place. Her return was hinted at when a Kei.sav file remained on Momoi’s game console where the original Kei's files were downloaded, and after various twists and turns in the Decagrammaton arc, she was finally added as a student after receiving a new physical body.

With such a dramatic backstory and a personality that expresses affection and fondness for the 'Sensei' even while grumbling, 'Key' has generated explosive interest among the Blue Archive fanbase since her announcement. Following her January 29th release in Japan, she surpassed 3k monthly submissions on Pixiv in February, and at the 108th Comiket (C108) held in the summer of 2026, there were 135 booths dedicated solely to her. This popularity has now spread from Japan to the domestic and global markets. Blue Archive, which had been outside the top 50 in global Steam sales, climbed 50 spots to reach 27th place following this update.

Meanwhile, Blue Archive will continue to engage with domestic and global players through various offline events, including the 'Kivotos Run' charity marathon on June 14th, and appearances at Anime Expo in Los Angeles and Bilibili World in July.
