Bandai Namco Entertainment Korea (Branch Manager Jang Tae-geun) announced that the paid DLC 'Anniversary Expansion Pack' for 'Super Robot Wars Y' (Korean version) on PlayStation®5, Nintendo Switch™, and Steam® will be available for purchase starting August 5, 2026 (Wed).

The Anniversary Expansion Pack includes additional weapons that allow players to enjoy crossover combo attacks and combat animations featuring original situations not seen in the source anime. It also includes 25 main story missions, 8 frontline missions, and additional playable units.

Specifically, the pack features 33 additional area missions, 12 types of weapons, 5 playable units, and 1 additional assist crew member, along with the bonus mission 'Bonus: Anniversary Expansion Pack Purchase.' The expansion features units from five titles: Space Runaway Ideon, Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack - Beltorchika's Children, THE IDOLM@STER XENOGLOSSIA, STAR DRIVER THE MOVIE, and Cross Ange: Rondo of Angel and Dragon.

A promotional video introducing the Anniversary Expansion Pack and the free update is available on the official YouTube channel. The video showcases expansion pack details, new weapons, and combat animations for new robots that were not revealed in the latest trailer.

Meanwhile, a free update (ver1.4.0) will be released on August 4 (Tue). This update includes a 20 million units sold commemorative mission, a 35th-anniversary mission, the new 'BOOST' game mode, an increased pilot level cap, and other stability improvements. Players must update to this version to continue playing.

The 'CONGRATULATION 20m!' mission, commemorating the Super Robot Wars series surpassing 20 million units in cumulative sales, is unlocked after clearing CHAPTER 2 'The Drifting Stranger.' The 'CONGRATULATION 35th!' mission, celebrating the series' 35th anniversary, is unlocked after clearing CHAPTER 2 'The Entrusted Heroes.'

The new 'BOOST' game mode simplifies character progression: EXP, CREDIT, and MXP acquisition are doubled, while costs for unit upgrades, pilot training, and items are halved. Enemy difficulty remains the same as in 'NORMAL' mode. Additionally, the pilot level cap has been raised from Lv.150 to Lv.200.

To celebrate the release of the Anniversary Expansion Pack, the digital version of Super Robot Wars Y will be available at a discount of up to 42%. The sale applies to the Super Robot Wars Y Digital Deluxe Edition for PlayStation®5 and the standard digital versions for Nintendo Switch™ and Steam®. The Digital Deluxe Edition, which includes various content such as the 'DLC 1&2 Set' featuring additional playable units and missions, is also included in the sale.

The sale period is as follows: Steam® from July 24 (Fri) 1:00 AM to August 7 (Fri) 1:00 AM; PlayStation®5 from July 29 (Wed) 12:00 AM to August 12 (Wed) 11:59 PM; and Nintendo Switch™ from July 29 (Wed) 12:00 AM to August 23 (Sun) 11:59 PM.
