Project Moon launched the 9th Walpurgisnacht event, 'Fixer of the Dawn,' for 'Limbus Company' on the 9th, setting a new record for concurrent users on Steam.

The impact of the update was immediate. Project Moon announced that total concurrent users exceeded 310,000, combining approximately 150k on Steam and 160k on mobile. The official Steam record reached 157,444, surpassing the previous peak of approximately 131k set in late May. The surge in traffic caused some server instability; Project Moon explained that current infrastructure struggled to handle the load and announced that 1300 Lunacy would be distributed to all users as an apology and to commemorate the new record.

Walpurgisnacht is an irregular, large-scale event where characters from the Project Moon universe, such as those from 'Lobotomy Corporation' and 'Library of Ruina,' appear as limited-time Identities and E.G.O. The 9th Walpurgisnacht runs until the 23rd. This event introduces new additions: Dawn Office Fixer Faust, Dawn Office Representative Gregor, Yi Sang's 'Solemn Lament' E.G.O, and the Binah Announcer, alongside buffs for the existing Walpurgisnacht Identity, Dawn Office Fixer Sinclair.

Walpurgisnacht has consistently served as Limbus Company's biggest draw. During the 6th event last July, the game reached a peak of approximately 110k concurrent users on Steam, ranking 2nd in sales in Korea and Japan and 6th globally. The 8th event this past March also saw 120k concurrent users on Steam. Through Walpurgisnacht and various other updates, Limbus Company continues to see a steady upward trend in its concurrent user records.

■ Release | Granblue Fantasy: Relink - Endless Ragnarok | INVEN GAMES

Cygames released 'Endless Ragnarok,' a major expansion for the action RPG 'Granblue Fantasy: Relink,' on the 9th. The expansion adds a new story following the events of the main game, new enemies like Beelzebub, and new playable characters including Beatrix and Eustace. It also introduces 'Conflux,' a solo mode featuring procedurally generated dungeons, and a 'Master' trait system that allows for three-way character specialization. The 4-player online co-op also supports cross-play across all platforms.

■ Update | Counter-Strike 2

'Counter-Strike 2' applied its Premier Season 5 update on the 9th. The core of this patch is the rotation of the Active Duty map pool, which sees the long-standing Overpass removed and Cache returned. Cache was previously added to Casual and Competitive modes in April and has now been integrated into Premier and professional play. In terms of gameplay, the C4 explosion damage logic has been completely overhauled: the blast shockwave now spreads across the map but cannot pass through walls and attenuates at corners. A visual indicator has also been added to show whether a player will survive the blast based on their current health. Additionally, the update includes new weapon collections like Arabesque and Spy Tech, as well as scoreboard performance improvements.
