Smilegate announced that Chaos Zero Nightmare, a dark fantasy roguelike RPG developed by Super Creative and serviced by Smilegate, officially launched in China on the 28th in partnership with Tencent.

The official service for Chaos Zero Nightmare in China began at 11:00 AM KST on the 28th. The game has already received an enthusiastic response, topping the free download charts on the Chinese Apple App Store immediately upon release. Tencent is exclusively handling the game's operations within China.

To commemorate the official launch in China, Smilegate has pre-released a new combatant, 'Fay,' for the Chinese market and is hosting a variety of events. This character is scheduled to be officially updated in Korea and other global regions in the upcoming summer season.

Prior to the official launch, Smilegate and Tencent actively engaged with users through a closed beta test held in March. As a result, the game surpassed 5.5 million pre-registrations before its official release, signaling a strong start. Both companies plan to continue their close collaboration to ensure the successful establishment of Chaos Zero Nightmare in the Chinese market.

Since its global launch in 174 countries on October 22 of last year, Chaos Zero Nightmare has become a global hit, surpassing 1.11 million daily active users within just one month of release.

In February of this year, the game was named the Best New Subculture Game of 2025 at the Sensor Tower APAC Awards, gaining recognition for its high quality and popularity worldwide. With this official launch in China, one of the world's largest gaming markets, the game is now taking on the challenge of becoming a mega-hit once again.
