Nintendo is hosting a dedicated Direct for 'Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave.' The broadcast will run for approximately 20 minutes starting at 11:00 PM on the 4th and will cover detailed information on the new Nintendo Switch 2 title, which is set for release next month.

On the 3rd, Nintendo announced the 'Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave Direct August 4, 2026' via its official X account and its news app, 'Nintendo Today.' Unlike a general Direct, this broadcast will focus exclusively on this single title. The stream will be available on Nintendo's official YouTube channel and the Nintendo Today app.

'Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave' is the latest entry in the series and the first title to launch on the Nintendo Switch 2. The game is set in the Dagda Empire, which has prospered for 1500 years under the rule of the gods. The story centers on the 'Great Tournament,' held in the capital city of Dagsion, where the winner is granted one wish. Players choose one of four warriors to follow their unique story path: Kai, a boy seeking to save his imprisoned father; Dietrich, a swordsman chasing battles against formidable foes; Theodora, a queen carrying the hopes of her nation; and Leda, a performer fighting for revenge. During the preparation periods between matches, players can explore Dagsion and the surrounding Dagda territory to strengthen their allies.

The game was first unveiled during the September 12, 2025, Nintendo Direct, and its release date was confirmed for September 17 during the June 9 Direct. Since then, the official X account has been sequentially releasing profiles and short combat clips for the four protagonists. The player character featured in the key art has yet to be named, and no in-game footage has been shown; the role of Sothis, who appeared in 'Fire Emblem: Three Houses,' also remains undisclosed.

'Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave' will be released for the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 17. The game will support Korean, with a domestic retail price of ₩89800 for the digital version and ₩98k for the physical package. The 'Dagdan Collection,' which includes bonuses such as an art book and a steelbook case, will be priced at ₩148k. The game is rated for ages 12 and up in Korea.
