Dplus KIA secured a spot in the quarterfinals of EWC 2026 as the second seed in their group after defeating G2 Esports 2-0 in the final match of the Round of 16, held at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles in France on the 16th. After a difficult start following a loss to AGAL in their opening match, DK successfully overcame the crisis to advance.

In a post-match interview, 'ShowMaker' Heo Su shared his thoughts on reaching the quarterfinals: "It wasn't a good start, but I'm happy we made it through, and I want to go as far as possible." When asked about facing G2's 'Caps' again after a long time, he replied, "I met 'Caps,' but the pick-ban phase didn't really set up a direct duel in the mid lane, so I didn't feel much during the laning phase. I think the outcome was decided by team movements."
DK will now face BLG in the quarterfinals. When asked what kind of match he expects against such a strong opponent, he said, "I don't recall ever playing against BLG. That's why I think it will be fun, and I'm really looking forward to facing 'knight' again after so long. I want to work hard and secure a win, and I'll do my best to go all the way to the championship." When asked about the team's atmosphere regarding the recent wage arrears issue currently making headlines in Korea and if he had a word for worried fans, a Dplus KIA official requested understanding, stating, "No comment on that issue."
Finally, 'ShowMaker' concluded the interview by saying, "I am always grateful to the fans. We've made it to the quarterfinals, and I will do my best to reach the championship."
