Nexon's open license project, Nexon Replay, is partnering with the Daegu Digital Innovation Agency to launch a production support program that provides local developers with access to its IP and development resources.

Nexon (co-CEOs Kang Dae-hyun and Kim Jung-wook) announced on the 6th that its open license project, Nexon Replay, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Daegu Digital Innovation Agency to foster the local game industry.

Under this agreement, the two parties will jointly promote the 'Nexon Replay IP-linked Game Production Support Project,' a sub-task of the 2026 Daegu Global Game Center's game content production support program.

Eligible applicants include developers headquartered in Daegu or those capable of relocating their headquarters within one month. Selected companies will sign revenue-sharing and non-disclosure agreements under the same terms as Nexon Replay partners, granting them the right to use one of two IPs: Asgard or Legend of Darkness. They will also receive essential development resources, such as images and sound, to begin actual production.

Nexon plans to participate directly in the evaluation process to help identify and foster high-quality new titles. Furthermore, the company aims to expand IP collaboration with local game developers through Nexon Replay, supporting the regional game industry in building global competitiveness.

Meanwhile, Nexon Replay is an open license project designed to open Nexon's diverse IP assets to creators, providing opportunities for secondary creation and exploring new possibilities for its IP. Since launching its beta service last December, the project has been signing contracts with various partners based on key IPs such as Ever Planet, Tactical Commanders, Elancia, and Legend of Darkness, with the goal of releasing the first results as early as this year, depending on development progress.
