Global game company Gravity is accelerating the diversification of its Ragnarok IP pipeline by maintaining a robust launch schedule throughout the second half of the year.
Leveraging its network of headquarters and overseas branches, Gravity is rolling out a diverse range of Ragnarok IP titles across major global markets throughout July. Following the launch of the 3D MMORPG 'Ragnarok: Rebirth' in Vietnam and Brazil, the company released 'Ragnarok: Rebirth Global' in North, Central, and South America, and is preparing to introduce the MMORPG 'Ragnarok Origin Classic.' Additionally, the company has further expanded its IP pipeline by launching the first Ragnarok-based open-world MMORPG, 'Ragnarok: The New World,' in Southeast Asia, and the MMORPG 'Ragnarok M: Classic' in Korea.
Gravity is sustaining long-term global success by strategically launching titles that have already proven their gameplay quality in other regions. Ragnarok: Rebirth has demonstrated its potential in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Korea, Southeast Asia, and China, while Ragnarok Origin Classic has seen success in Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and Southeast Asia. Ragnarok: The New World was well-received in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau, and Ragnarok M: Classic earned positive feedback in Southeast Asia.
Notably, upon its launch in Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau this January, Ragnarok: The New World topped the Apple App Store revenue charts in all three regions. It also ranked first in downloads across all three regions and achieved impressive revenue rankings, placing first in Taiwan and Macau, and third in Hong Kong. Following its February 2025 launch in Southeast Asia, Ragnarok M: Classic reached second, fourth, and tenth place in Apple App Store revenue rankings in Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia, respectively. It also performed consistently on Google Play, ranking as the second most popular game in Thailand, fifth in Singapore, and ninth in the Philippines.
This active launch strategy is supported by Gravity's global network and service expertise across its overseas branches. By consolidating the capabilities of its eight international offices—located in North America, Taiwan, Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Hong Kong, and Malaysia—Gravity ensures stable service through localized launches, continuous updates, and events tailored to the characteristics of each market and its users.
Beyond game launches, Gravity is deepening its service through offline touchpoints such as user meetups. On July 11, the company hosted an invitation-only discussion for domestic players of the PC MMORPG 'Ragnarok Online' at its headquarters in Mapo-gu, Seoul. The event featured various programs, including discussions on guild activation strategies and studio tours, allowing for direct communication with guild leaders and representatives. On July 12, ahead of the Korean launch of 'Ragnarok M: Classic,' Gravity held a 'Fun & Fan Day' meetup, providing memorable experiences through Q&A sessions with developers, quiz competitions, and lucky draws.
Gravity's Malaysian branch, Gravity Game Unite (GGU), successfully hosted the 'Ragnarok Zero: Global European User Meetup' in Germany on July 18 (local time). Key figures, including Gravity Co-CEO Yoshinori Kitamura, GGU President Choi Sung-wook, and Ragnarok Zero: Global General PD Kim Yong-nam, attended the event, underscoring the importance and sincerity of the company's commitment to its European and Asian services. At the event, the team shared future service directions and expressed their ambition to accelerate the strengthening of the European community. Another user meetup is scheduled for August 12 in Thailand.
Gravity plans to continue expanding its touchpoints with global users to achieve sustained growth. For the remainder of the second half, the company plans to conduct local CBTs and launches for major titles, including the new PC MMORPG 'Ragnarok Zero: Global,' the 2D MMORPG 'Ragnarok: Midgard Senki,' and the MMOARPG 'Ragnarok Abyss.' Building on its proven IP and robust global infrastructure, Gravity aims to further strengthen its growth momentum in the global market.
