T1 Returns in Style, Shines at Inspire Arena

T1 halted Gen.G’s 27‑match winning streak on its home turf, then swept Nongshim RedForce, as the League of Legends Champions Korea (LCK) kicked off Round 3 at Incheon’s Inspire Arena. In the Rise Group, OKSavingsBank BRION continued its surge with back‑to‑back comebacks.

T1 opened its “Home Ground” weekend on July 25 against Gen.G, whose unbeaten run dated to the start of the 2025 LCK and included international titles. After dropping Game 1 to Gen.G’s precise team fighting, T1 rallied behind mid‑laner Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok. His clutch Emperor’s Divide in Game 2 swung momentum, and in Game 3, top‑lane dive and Choi "Doran" Hyeon-joon’s Gragas barrel roll corralled Gen.G’s carries, securing a 2–1 victory and snapping a streak that began with MSI and extended through the Esports World Cup.

On July 27, T1 faced Nongshim RedForce and again battled back from an early deficit. Support Ryu "Keria" Min-seok’s Keeper’s Verdict in Game 1 turned a looming loss into a reverse sweep, and T1 closed out Game 2 despite aggressive skirmishes. Faker added a kill in the opener to become the first LCK player to surpass 3,500 career kills. T1’s two wins in Round 3 Week 1 leave it two games behind Hanwha Life Esports (1–1).

Despite the setback, Gen.G secured its playoff berth and locked in the earliest World Championship qualification of any team worldwide by defeating Hanwha Life on July 23. That win also assured Gen.G of LCK’s top seed heading into the split’s final weeks.

In the newly formed Rise Group, OKSavingsBank BRION impressed with consecutive 2–1 victories. After falling in Game 1 to Dplus Kia on July 23, jungler Kim "Croco" Dong-beom powered a comeback with Xin Zhao and Trundle. Bren repeated the feat against DRX on July 25, moving into contention for the play‑in spots.

Week 1 also saw two pentakills. On July 23, Gen.G’s bot‑laner Park "Ruler" Jae-hyuk recorded his seventh career pentakill—an LCK record—and on July 26, Hanwha Life’s Park "Viper" Do-hyeon added the season’s 11th. As Round 3 unfolds, the race for both Legend and Rise supremacy is wide open.
