Anton Zaslavski, known professionally as Zedd, has been named as the performing artist for the 2019 Overwatch League Grand Finals on Sunday, September 29 in Philadelphia, PA. The DJ, songwriter, and producer is an avid fan of the Overwatch League, and should set the tone at the Wells Fargo Center for the 2019 OWL champion to be crowned.

Zedd will be taking the mantle from Khaled Mohamed Khaled, known by the public as DJ Khaled for his work as a producer, DJ, and songwriter. DJ Khaled performed at the 2018 Overwatch League Grand Finals at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. Overwatch League hype was at an all-time high with the packed NYC crowd ready for the showdown between London Spitfire and Philadelphia Fusion, but Khaled's performance was met with mixed reception.

Fans of competitive Overwatch who were left less than satisfied with DJ Khaled's performance should not feel foolish to look forward to Zedd's performance at the end of this month. Zedd has been an avid gamer for years, streaming Minecraft for the majority of the past decade in his spare time to relative popularity.

In addition to his OWL fandom, Zedd also performed at the 2016 League of Legends World Championship Grand Finals. Before South Korean dynasties Samsung Galaxy and SK Telecom T1 faced off in the only five game Final in Worlds history, Zedd set the standard for live esports performances with a live rendition of "Ignite," the song he wrote for Worlds 2016 with Riot Games, complete with fog machines, holograms, projections, and pyro-technics.

If Zedd's performance at the 2016 League of Legends World Championship is any indicator of what's to come, Overwatch League fans attending the Grand Finals in Philadelphia are in for a treat.
