This is the full text of Esports Lab's 9/26/2017 press release.

Minnesota Twins Pitcher Trevor May and his newly formed company Esports Lab have launched a redesigned Winston’s Lab web site which features the most comprehensive and accurate Overwatch Team World Rankings with additional updates to every section of the site.

Winston’s Lab Overwatch Team Rankings (WLOTR)

Chief Developer Dennis Matz and Senior Analyst Kevin Hitt developed the Winston’s Lab Overwatch Team Rankings using a proprietary Algorithm and modifiers that alleviates the challenge of subjective input. All teams are rated against each other according to the algorithm which incorporates the following components:

▷ Matches played in the last 120 days
▷ Win Percentage (WP%)
▷ Strength of Schedule (SOS)
▷ Regional Strength of Schedule (RSOS)
▷ Win Adjustment for LAN vs Online Matches
▷ Margin of Victory (MOV)
▷ Margin of Loss (MOL)
▷ Common Opponents Factor

The WLOTR can be used as a quick glance tool to see who the best teams in the world are at the current time by looking at the “Five-Star” rating tool. Teams with the most stars are ranked higher than those with fewer stars. However, you can also get a more in depth look by going into the numbers as teams Strength of Schedule, Margin of Victory, and how each team has performed in their last 10 matches can be viewed.

The Winston’s Lab Overwatch Team Rankings will be updated every Monday with all the previous week’s matches being included.

South Korea’s Lunatic-Hai is the inaugural No. 1 team in the world, having the toughest strength of schedule helping them to a top rating of 66.40. Cloud9, KongDoo, RunAway, Miraculous Youngsters, and Afreeca Freecs Blue follow, respectively.
