Nexon (co-CEOs Kang Dae-hyun and Kim Jung-wook) announced on the 10th that it has opened pre-downloads for the PC version of 'Overwatch', developed by Blizzard Entertainment (President Johanna Faries), and released a trailer for the new hero 'D.Mon'.

The pre-download period has begun to ensure a smooth experience for users ahead of the official launch of the PC version of 'Overwatch' on Nexon and the Season 4 update on August 12. Users can download the game client in advance via the official website for 'Overwatch' on Nexon. Once the service officially launches, players will be able to access the game through Nexon.com and Nexon Plug, in addition to the existing Battle.net launcher.

Along with this, a hero trailer was released detailing the backstory of 'D-Mon,' a new hero coming in Season 4. D-Mon, whose real name is Lee Yu-na, is the second Korean hero to appear in Overwatch and the leader of the MEKA squad, which has defended South Korea alongside D.Va against fierce Omnic attacks. The trailer shows D-Mon leading the MEKA squad to save citizens from a Junkertown faction invading Busan, while also hinting at a confrontation with the Talon organization.

A gameplay trailer showcasing her skill set was also unveiled. D-Mon pilots a MEKA unit equipped with a plasma sword and shield. She can deploy a 'Power Barrier' to defend the front, and while the shield is active, she can perform a 'Charge Strike' to dash at enemies and strike them with her sword. Additionally, she can use 'Thrusters' for rapid horizontal movement and a 'Fusion Repeater' machine gun for rapid-fire attacks to engage distant enemies. Depending on the situation, she can activate her ultimate skill, 'Limit Break,' to sweep across the front, gaining bonus health and increased damage, or call down a new MEKA unit to pilot if her current one is destroyed.

Meanwhile, ahead of the launch of the domestic PC service for Overwatch, Nexon is holding a pre-account linking event until the 11st. The company will also host a large-scale offline fan event, 'Overwatch Day,' on the 22nd and 23rd at Hall 1 of BEXCO in Busan.
