Lunatic-Hai Ryujehong on a surprise pick: “Widowmaker and Ana are very different from each other.”

On May 26th (KST), Lunatic Hai won against Rogue 3-0 in the first matchup of the day and moved on to the quarterfinals of Overwatch APEX Season 3. Ryujehong, the Support/Flex player for Lunatic-Hai, led the team to victory with a surprise pick today. Ryujehong picked Widowmaker and Zarya in Game 2 and Lunatic-Hai seized victory again.

Below is the post-match interview with Ryujehong.

How do you feel about today’s victory?

Today’s match was a return match, and revenge is sweet.

Did you expect a 3-0 victory today?

I said during an interview that we would win 3-0, but I didn’t know we actually could.

Lunatic-Hai moved on to the quarterfinals. How do you feel about that?

I’ve been practicing a lot recently so I can play as well as I used to play. We won 3-2 in our first match, 3-1 in the second one, and 3-0 today. I think we are getting better and better as a team.

Would you like to add any comments on your surprise picks?

I told my teammates we should go with the “single support” team comp. I picked Zarya and Widowmaker as bait because the other team focuses on me when I play Support heroes. My teammates call me “the best bait in the world.”

You are a good Widowmaker player. Is it because you are a good Ana player?

Widowmaker and Ana are very different from each other. To be honest, I’m not a good Widowmaker player.

Whoru and Esca play Tracer pretty well. Do you have Tracer in your team often?

We usually try to have Tracer in our team. Whoru usually plays Tracer or Genji when Esca plays Soldier:76.

Any comments regarding your next match?

All teams in the league are really good. We need to practice harder.

Any last words?

We are still aiming for a higher place. I hope we can win again this season.
