In a tweet earlier made by the Atlanta Reign, they made a huge announcement that one of their star players, Andrej "babybay" Francisty, has retired from Overwatch League. The three-year veteran in Overwatch esports had a storied career, growing as a player with Kungarna, becoming a solid player for the San Francisco Shock, to being a well-known player in OWL for the Atlanta Reign for his trash talk and leadership.

Babybay's biggest achievements were from last season after he got traded to the Reign. Although there were many doubters if the Reign are a legitimate team, he helped carry the Reign into the postseason playoffs after an undefeated Stage 4. From there, he shocked the world after the Reign had a surprising upset against his former team in the first round. Since that time, the Reign were predicted to become one of the top teams in the league, but have not met those expectations yet.

Babybay's retirement came off as a surprise to many fans on social media, but Babybay feels like it is time to move on.

His retirement comes off a string of other retirements from this season. Big names, mainly Western players, such as 2019 Overwatch League MVP Jay "sinatraa" Won, Corey "Corey" Nigra, Kristian "Kellex" Keller, and Damien "HyP" Souville also retired from the league this season.

Babybay has made no statement about his future endeavors. However, judging from his recent Twitch streams, he has been grinding VALORANT where he is currently ranked Immortal 3. If there is anything to predict, a pro career in VALORANT is in order for the former OWL player.
