Pokémon Korea, together with the Korea Tourism Organization and AREX (Airport Railroad), is hosting an autumn festival connecting downtown Seoul and Incheon International Airport. Centered on "Pikachu wearing Hanbok," the event will feature exhibitions, pop-up stores, wrapped trains, and Pokémon GO tie-in events.
Pokémon Korea (CEO Lim Jae-beom) announced that it is hosting a large-scale offline event titled "Pokémon Mega Festa 2026: Pikachu's Autumn Outing" alongside the Korea Tourism Organization and AREX (Airport Railroad).
Themed around "Pikachu wearing Hanbok," the festival will take place at HiKR Ground—the Korea Tourism Organization's tourism promotion center on Cheonggyecheon-ro in Jung-gu, Seoul—as well as major stations along the Airport Railroad. Aimed at domestic Pokémon fans and international tourists visiting Korea, the program combines Korean culture with Pokémon content.
From the 1st to the 3rd floor of the main venue, HiKR Ground, visitors can enjoy media art, exhibitions, and interactive hands-on content based on the "Pikachu's Autumn Outing" concept. A Pokémon pop-up store will be set up on the 5th floor, offering original merchandise and capsule toys featuring Pikachu wearing Hanbok.
The interiors of AREX Express Trains will be wrapped in a Pokémon theme during the event. In addition, photo zones featuring Pikachu wearing Hanbok will be set up at major Airport Railroad stations, including Incheon International Airport Terminals 1 and 2 and the Seoul Station City Airport Terminal.
A "stamp rally" linking HiKR Ground and the Airport Railroad line will also take place. Participants can collect stamps by visiting Incheon International Airport Terminals 1 and 2, the Seoul Station City Airport Terminal, and HiKR Ground in Jongno, with souvenirs awarded upon completion.
A tie-in event with the mobile game Pokémon GO is also prepared. To celebrate the festival, "Pikachu wearing Orange Hanbok" will make its global debut in the game. This Pikachu will initially appear for a limited time in select areas of Jongno-gu and Jung-gu in Seoul, as well as the HiKR Station at Incheon International Airport, before expanding nationwide.
A representative from Pokémon Korea stated, "From the exciting first step of taking the Airport Railroad to HiKR Ground in the heart of the city, we hope visitors fully enjoy the autumn mood alongside Pikachu wearing Hanbok." The representative added, "We will do our best to ensure a safe and comfortable viewing environment on the 2nd and 3rd floors of HiKR Ground, the main venue."
