Global game developer and publisher Elementa announced that the second closed beta test for its open world mystery adventure ARPG, 'Silver Palace,' titled the 'Dichotomy Test,' will run from today until August 13.

The 'Dichotomy Test' is an F2P, data-resetting test for a limited number of participants and is available on PC. Selected testers will explore 'Sylvania,' a city hidden beneath dazzling lights, and experience immersive gameplay as they track secrets hidden throughout the city to complete their own deductions.

This second closed beta, the 'Dichotomy Test,' features an expanded map compared to the first 'Identity Test,' introducing new open world content and a distinct gameplay system. It offers players an immersive experience with over 40 hours of gameplay.

The game's quality has been significantly enhanced through a massive content update. A male protagonist has been added as a playable character, allowing players to choose between a male or female lead at the start to enjoy the story from different perspectives. The roster of playable characters has expanded to 15, with eight making their debut in this test.

The update adds a variety of unique new characters, including 'Cinderella,' the embodiment of beauty who served as the final boss in the first 'Identity Test,' the alluring dancer 'Red Rose,' the greatsword and shield-wielding knight 'Gratia,' and the young overseer 'Rex,' who commands powerful electric attacks, providing a wealth of new content to enjoy.

The game introduces a tense new story centered on the mystery surrounding the Queen's death and a reporter who becomes a victim of the case. Immersive new content includes multi-branch missions where players investigate cases and track clues to uncover the truth, as well as character-specific stories and various minigames.

The exploration area of Sylvania has also been significantly expanded. New regions feature a wider variety of treasure chests, puzzles, and interactive content, along with unpredictable urban events. Unique lifestyle content, such as city horse racing, has been added to provide a diverse experience that covers both the thrill of tracking cases and the secrets hidden behind the city's daily life.

The combat system has undergone continuous improvements, with enhanced responsiveness and controls for more intense battles. Designed around dodging, parrying, stamina management, and a groggy system, it offers strategic depth and engaging combat. New combat assist features have been added to ensure accessibility for both beginners and veterans. Additionally, improvements to certain character skills and finishing animations add a fresh layer of challenge to high-difficulty bosses with unique patterns.
