On July 16, the Dplus KIA front office released a statement titled 'Statement Regarding Delayed Player Salary Payments and Current Club Status,' expressing deep responsibility for the 'unfortunate situation' and apologizing to fans and partners.

The front office confirmed that it is currently pursuing a sale of the club. They explained that the decision was made based on the belief that the club has reached a point where greater resources and support are needed for further growth, and that, combined with changes in the business environment, finding a new owner is the best path forward. The office noted that it is in detailed discussions with a previously engaged potential buyer while also having signed a formal contract with a professional advisory firm to pursue sale procedures with other qualified candidates.

The salary delay originated from this sale process. The office stated, "Administrative procedures took longer than expected during the final coordination and advisory phase. This caused a temporary disruption in the club's financial planning, which ultimately led to a one-month delay in player salary payments."

The office added that it had explained the cash flow situation and the progress of the sale to the players and coaching staff to seek their understanding before the issue occurred. They also expressed both regret and gratitude to the team for their dedication to training and their schedule despite the transitional uncertainty.

The office stated that "all staff members feel a deep sense of responsibility and are taking this situation very seriously," promising to complete the salary payments promptly and normalize club operations.
