The Game Rating and Administration Committee (Chairperson Seo Tae-geon, hereinafter 'GRAC') has issued a warning to protect users regarding the overseas game 'Swordsman from Hell' (Developer: TRIKY LTD), which is currently undergoing administrative proceedings for failing to comply with mandatory gacha item disclosure requirements.
Through its monitoring efforts, the GRAC confirmed that the game failed to fulfill its gacha item disclosure obligations and is currently taking necessary measures in coordination with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. The game has been served via public notice in the Official Gazette of the Republic of Korea; if the corrective order remains unfulfilled after the notice period, the game's distribution will be restricted in accordance with relevant laws.
Furthermore, the GRAC identified evidence suggesting that the game has unauthorizedly used intellectual property, including characters from the popular anime 'Demon Slayer', and has notified the original copyright holders of these findings.
GRAC Chairperson Seo Tae-geon stated, "The GRAC is working closely with the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, app market operators, and copyright holders to take necessary actions against violating games and prevent user harm." He added, "We will continue to strengthen our monitoring of games that violate gacha item disclosure requirements and remain committed to protecting the rights and interests of gamers and establishing a sound game distribution environment."
