On the 29th, the Play-In Stage Round 2 match between T1 and Karmine Corp for the 2026 League of Legends Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) took place at Exhibition Center II of the Daejeon Convention Center. In the first set, T1 secured a victory after establishing an overwhelming lead early on.
The game started in T1's favor after a 3v3 skirmish, triggered by a red-side counter-jungle attempt by Karmine Corp, ended in a 2-1 kill trade. T1's bottom duo then proceeded to rack up kills, fueled by the exceptional Skill Hit Rate of 'Keria' Ryu Min-seok on Pyke, completely shattering the balance in the bottom lane. 'Phase' Kim Su-hwan's Mel grew rapidly, securing 6 kills by the 10-minute mark.
T1 roamed freely across the map, snowballing their lead significantly. They did not neglect objective control, either. Pushed onto the defensive, Karmine Corp tried to group up and use their numbers to pick off T1 players. However, this inevitably left lanes empty, leading to unavoidable losses in CS and EXP. T1 easily demolished all of Karmine Corp's tier-1 towers.
Around the 19-minute mark, Karmine Corp managed to pick off 'Doran' Choi Hyun-joon's Jayce in a side lane. However, even with a numerical disadvantage, T1 boldly engaged and added 3 more kills to their tally. By the 21-minute mark, T1 had built a 10k-gold lead and secured both the Cloud Soul and Baron. Although Karmine Corp managed to trade some kills, it had no impact on the outcome. After all three of Karmine Corp's inhibitors were destroyed, T1 swept 4 kills in the final teamfight and destroyed the Nexus.
