South Korea finished in 6th place on Day 1 of the PUBG Mobile event at the Esports Championships Asia 2026 (ECA 2026), held at the Jinju Indoor Gymnasium in Gyeongsangnam-do on the 25th.

In the PUBG Mobile division, 10 teams from the Korea Esports League (KEL) participated alongside teams from six other countries: Japan, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, and Mongolia.
Due to the nature of the game, 16 teams are required to fill the lobby, which is why the KEL teams were included. The performance of KEL teams does not count toward the official ECA 2026 standings, though they are eligible to win prize money.
KRX took 1st place on the first day with an overwhelming performance. Daejeon Game PT won the first set on Rondo, while the South Korean national team secured their first 'chicken dinner' in the second set with 9 kills. KRX’s dominance began in the third set; they won the third and fourth sets consecutively. DK won the fifth set, and KRX took the final set of the day, concluding the Day 1 matches.
The South Korean ECA team finished 6th with a total of 46 points, while Vietnam holds the highest ranking among the national teams at 3rd place. Six more rounds are scheduled for the second day. Meanwhile, in the overall medal standings across all ECA events, South Korea is currently in 3rd place, trailing Japan and Thailand.
