'World of Tanks= Hit,' a new tank PvP shooter developed by Wargaming, will begin its closed beta test (CBT) on April 16.

First identified in 2023, 'World of Tanks: Hit' features modern-era tanks, distinguishing it from the original 'World of Tanks,' which focuses primarily on tanks from the World War II era and the immediate postwar period. Unlike the original game, where players are limited to spectating once their tank is destroyed, this title allows for continuous play through a respawn system. Victory is determined by capturing specific areas to accumulate points, similar to the core objective in 'Battlefield'.

As a result, 'World of Tanks: Hit' aims for an intense, fast-paced battlefield experience, a departure from the static and heavy combat of its predecessor. Gameplay footage shows players performing moving shots—a tactic generally avoided in the original—as well as racing at high speeds to dodge enemy fire or ramming opponents with heavy impacts.

Another key feature is the game's 'hero shooter' elements. 'World of Tanks: Hit' includes numerous tank commanders known as 'Agents,' each with unique special abilities. Players can differentiate themselves from others by customizing these Agents, their base tanks, and specific components.

The CBT for 'World of Tanks: Hit' starts on April 16. As it is a free-to-play game, interested players can sign up freely via the Steam store page.
