Riot Games rolled out League of Legends patch 26.6 on March 19th, introducing Shyvana’s long-awaited visual and gameplay update alongside a new Warhound skin line and early April Fools’ content. According to Riot’s patch notes, the update also tied into the publisher’s 2026 First Stand tournament content.

The rework marked Shyvana’s first major overhaul in roughly 15 years. According to Riot’s patch notes, the champion received a new model, updated visual effects, voice over and a rebuilt kit. Her passive now grants permanent armour and magic resist through takedowns on champions, large minions and monsters, while her W now provided a shield and movement speed. Her E also now slowed targets in human form, and her ultimate, Dragon’s Descent, was updated to deal area-of-effect magic damage while causing enemies to flee.

Patch 26.6 also introduced Riot’s new Warhound skin line, featuring Warwick, Senna and Naafiri. According to Riot’s patch notes, the skins became available on March 18th. Riot also said a portion of proceeds from Warhounds Senna and related skin and chroma bundles would be shared with League of Legends esports teams from March 18th to April 15th as part of First Stand.

The revenue-share element continued Riot’s broader push to connect in-game cosmetics with its esports ecosystem. First Stand, the publisher’s international early-season League of Legends event, began on March 16th in São Paulo, Brazil and runs through March 22nd.

Alongside the live patch, Riot also revealed its latest April Fools’ content through the game’s Public Beta Environment (PBE). According to the preview materials, the skins included Fried Chicken King Swain, Big-Bellied Kench, Pug Wrangler Sejuani, Surprise Party Vex, Bubble Party Blitzcrank and Prestige Penny-Pincher Mordekaiser. Those cosmetics were scheduled to reach live servers in patch 26.7, giving Riot another themed content drop shortly after one of the game’s biggest champion updates of the year.
