NVIDIA Expands AI Partnerships with Samsung, SK hynix, and Hyundai

NVIDIA unveiled a range of collaboration cases with major Korean companies—including Samsung Electronics, SK hynix, and Hyundai Motor Group—at NVIDIA GTC 2026, the world’s largest AI and accelerated computing conference, held in San Jose, California.

At this year’s event, NVIDIA introduced key examples of the technology partnerships it is pursuing with Korean companies, spanning everything from next-generation memory technologies for building AI infrastructure to data center solutions and autonomous driving technologies.

Samsung Electronics Unveils Next-Generation Memory Technology for NVIDIA AI Infrastructure

At GTC 2026, Samsung Electronics showcased a wide range of its products and solutions designed to support the buildout of AI systems. Its exhibition space was divided into three zones—AI Factory, Local AI, and Physical AI—and highlighted Samsung’s capability to provide end-to-end memory total solutions centered on next-generation memory architectures such as GDDR7, LPDDR6, and PM9E1.

In particular, at the separately organized NVIDIA Gallery, Samsung underscored its collaboration with NVIDIA by presenting a lineup of its most advanced memory technologies designed for NVIDIA AI infrastructure, including HBM4, SOCAMM2, and PM1763.

In addition to the exhibition, on Tuesday, March 17, Yong Ho Song, Head of the AI Center at Samsung Electronics, delivered a presentation titled “Transforming Semiconductor Engineering with Agentic AI from Design to Manufacturing.” Through the session, he introduced how AI and digital twins are reshaping semiconductor manufacturing processes through innovation in electronic design automation (EDA) and computational lithography, while also sharing real-world use cases involving the design and operation of advanced manufacturing facilities powered by NVIDIA.

SK hynix Showcases AI Memory Technology Developed in Collaboration With NVIDIA

Under the theme “Spotlight on AI Memory,” SK hynix set up an exhibition space introducing AI memory technologies and solutions realized through its collaboration with NVIDIA.

At the NVIDIA Collaboration Zone within its booth, SK hynix showcased real-world application cases for its memory products—including HBM4, HBM3E, and SOCAMM2—designed for NVIDIA AI platforms. By displaying the memory configurations used in accelerated-computing-based AI accelerators through physical models and actual hardware, the company emphasized the role memory technology will play in next-generation AI infrastructure. Also featured at the exhibition was NVIDIA DGX Spark, a desktop AI supercomputer equipped with SK hynix LPDDR5X.

Alongside the exhibition, Seung Yong Do, Vice President at SK hynix and head of DT, participated as a co-speaker in a session titled “Building the Future of Manufacturing,” where he discussed the future of AI-based manufacturing and the pivotal role memory technology plays in enabling high-performance AI.

Hyundai Motor Group Expands Autonomous Driving Technology Collaboration With NVIDIA

Through GTC 2026, NVIDIA announced that it is expanding its strategic collaboration with Hyundai Motor Group to develop next-generation autonomous driving technology based on the NVIDIA DRIVE Hyperion platform.

The collaboration aims to combine Hyundai Motor Group’s software-defined vehicle (SDV) capabilities, global vehicle fleet, and autonomous driving development expertise with NVIDIA’s accelerated computing, AI infrastructure, and autonomous driving software.

Through this effort, Hyundai Motor Group plans to integrate NVIDIA autonomous driving technologies supporting Level 2 and above systems into select vehicles, strengthening both safety and intelligent driving functions. NVIDIA also plans to expand its collaboration with Motional, Hyundai Motor Group’s autonomous driving joint venture, to accelerate Level 4 robotaxi capabilities and the development of next-generation autonomous mobility services.

NVIDIA Continues to Expand AI Ecosystem Collaboration With Korean Companies

NVIDIA is continuously strengthening its partnerships with Korean companies as part of its effort to expand the global AI ecosystem.

In particular, NVIDIA founder and CEO Jensen Huang visited Korea last year on the occasion of the APEC CEO Summit and expressed his willingness to cooperate in expanding the country’s AI infrastructure. Since then, NVIDIA has continued to broaden its technology collaboration and industrial partnerships with Korean companies.

At GTC 2026, a wide range of Korean companies and experts are participating in sessions and exhibitions, and various technical sessions for Korean AI specialists are also being held. Through these efforts, NVIDIA plans to further expand its collaboration with Korean companies and the developer community in Korea.
