On the afternoon of July 21st, Team Liquid announced a new addition to their team, signing Pocket Rhino as their Academy Support, replacing Yama. Pocket Rhino is a former collegiate player for Florida State University. Read more about the signing here:

Despite most of the focus this off-season revolving around Doublelift and TSM's side of the big roster swaps, Liquid may have won out on the deal, with Tactical ending 7/0/6 in the opening matchup against the two teams.

In yet another off-season change from Team Liquid, Academy Jungler, Shernfire, was released from the org on May 15th. He played with the team only one Split, starting off on the main TL roster during Broxah's visa delay, and then switching to Academy upon his arrival mid-season. Read more on his story here:
Team Liquid has made an off-season splash ahead of the 2020 League of Legends Championship Series Summer Split by signing Joshua "Jatt" Leesman as its Head Coach. Jatt has spent the majority of the past decade as a caster and an analyst for Riot Games' LCS broadcast.
ESPN Esports' Jacob Wolf has reported that Team Liquid AD Carry Yiliang "Doublelift" Peng will be heading back to his former organization TSM. TL put Doublelift on the trading block last week after the team finished in 9th place this spring after four consecutive League of Legends Championship Series championships.
According to a tweet made by Travis Gafford, Team Liquid has placed Doublelift's contract is up for trade. Doublelift had an underwhelming split thsi Spring after winning his fifth title in a row last year from Summer 2017 to Summer 2019. He tweeted his lack of motivation and loss of trust from his teammates earlier this year. Read more on his potential trade here:
Doublelift reached his 1500th kill in the LCS after playing professional League of Legends for the last eight years. He was the first player in the LCS to reach the 1,000 kill mark and the first to reach 1500. He has almost 2800 kills overall. Read more on the LCS kill leader here:
