The event debuted in 2017, with Trick2g raising $30,000 including a one-day stream of over $18,000 in donations. In two years, Trick2g has raised over fifty thousand dollars for children in need over the holidays.

Sponsors of the event included gaming floor mat producer Florpad, German audio company Sennheizer, custom playmat printer InkedGaming, and Omensight developer Spearhead Games. The campaign started on December 8th at 6:00pm EST and continued through December 9th.

As with last year's Toys for Tots campaign, Trick2g uploaded a short vlog to his youtube channel crediting his sponsors and coordinators. Clad in Twitch hoodie and Santa hat, the Udyr maestro went from store to store, stuffing countless toys into various sizes of shopping carts before dropping it off to Toys for Tots.

Ricky Johnson, President of the Ricky Johnson & Friends Foundation, partners with Toys for Tots annually in the Richmond area by sharing his company's warehouse. Johnson spoke volumes of Trick2g upon concluding working with him. "Every year he has stepped up and helped us and streamed for two or three days straight," said Johnson. "He's giving up his whole weekend to make sure that a child has a holiday."

Trick2g concluded the vlog by thanking the community and assured that he would bring back the Toys for Tots campaign for 2019 before signing off in vintage style:

"We're gonna double the toys...peace late."
